My mom taught me to sew when I was young, and though it took time to begin to appreciate the artistry, I soon began to really enjoy sewing. I sewed everything – dresses, shirts, repairs, tablecloths, napkins – but it wasn’t until one of my dear friends came to me for help that I considered creating wedding veils. She had a very tight budget and a specific vision for her wedding veil. None of the local bridal shops could accommodate her at what she could afford to pay. She knew I had been sewing for most of my life and asked me to help make her dream come true.

What a great opportunity to help a friend! And I loved the process so much, I created Kathryn’s Custom Veils  – Custom designed wedding veils at an affordable price for every bride’s taste and fashion!

I have since made all types of veils for brides, from dainty pearl and flower accents, to elaborate lace and rhinestone trimming, and even an all-lace vintage veil trimmed in seed pearls. I’ve created dozens of veils which are available to help spark an idea or for easy customization, but if you can dream it, I can do it. There’s nothing I love more than helping contribute to a perfect wedding day!
